The third China Western Cartoon & Animation Festival 2011will be held during September 29 to October 3 in Chongqing. It is sponsored by SARFT and Chongqing Municipal Government, which is the only marketing platform of Chongqing cultural industry. There will one each year.

The festival will cover the whole cartoon cultural chain, industrial chain and ACG industry chain and creative industry chain. It will be a platform for cartoon talents import, market information acquirement, advanced experience exchange and works trade when new products and technology are shown. It will promote the communication between the eastern China and western China and drive a benign development of China ACG creative industry and digital interactive entertainment industry.

More than one hundred cartoon companies have attended the second festival last year and about one hundred experts and scholars have participated in the summit forums, and over forty thousand visitors have visited the festival. Ten categories and about thirty thousand cartoon products like animations, comics & toys have been exhibited and sold in the festival. The sale has reached RMB ten million. The festival this year will have opening and closing ceremonies, summit forums on cartoon industry, investment meeting on cartoon industry, ACG product show, etc. The committee will arrange the information issue, show & performance, exchange & trade, signing & cooperation according to exhibitors. The location will be Chongqing International Conference & Exhibition Centre (Nan Ping).
