Xiamen Daily reported on December 29, the award ceremony of China Government Culture & Art Prize - the state-approved award, the only national cartoon prize and the top prize in Chinese cartoon industry was held in Tianjin the other day. ‘Adventures of MOMOKING’ won the entry prize of Best Animated TV Series. And it was the only works from Fujian that won the prize. The 52-episode ‘Adventures of MOMOKING’ was about a series of adventures of Monkey King’s descendant – MOMOKING who went to save his friend and the world. The animated series had its premiere on CCTV Children Channel in May, 2011. By far, it has been played on many provincial TV stations, satellite channels and professional cartoon channels like Kaku and Golden Eagle and it has been very popular.
